December 23, 2018

January 1, 2019
The first day of your new 2019 coverage. If there have been any changes to the plans you qualify for, January 1 is the date when those changes will start.

 Check your 2019 eligibility online

If you are saving on the cost of your 2018  health coverage because you have a ConnectorCare plan or a monthly Advance Premium Tax Credit and see that you no longer qualify for those savings in 2019, you may need to take action to confirm your 2019 income information online.

By confirming or updating your 2019 income, most members may still qualify for savings through the Health Connector.

Follow these steps to check your 2019 eligibility:

  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on My Eligibility
  3. On the My Eligibility page, open Year 2019
  4. Under the Actions column, click on the Detail link to see your 2019 Eligibility Results
  5. If your 2019 eligibility seems incorrect, you may need to update or confirm your 2019 income information. This is easy to do by following the the steps in the Report Changes section of this page.

Important: Even if your income will not change from 2018 to 2019, you still need to go through the income change process to confirm your income and resubmit your application. Once you do so, your eligibility should update. If updating or confirming your income for 2019 does not update your eligibility, there could be another cause. Find out more about these reasons here.

If you are still not sure, please call Health Connector customer service for assistance at 1-877-623-6765 (TTY 1-877-623-7773) or visit a Navigator in your area.

Note: If you report a change to your 2018 application, you will be asked if the change will continue into 2019.

For example, if you are reporting a move to a new address that you will be living at into until at least January 2019, you will be able to choose to have this information automatically updated for next year as well.

I see both a Year 2019 and a Year 2018 application. Which application should I make changes to?

  • If you have any changes that happened in 2018, make those to your Year 2018 application.
    For example:
You moved on November 5, 2018 and now have a new home address. You should make this change to your Year 2018 application.
  • If you have changes that happened in 2018 and will continue in 2019, make those changes on your 2018 application and then choose YES when you are asked if you want to apply those 2018 changes to your 2019 application.
For example: If you expect to still live at your new address you moved to on November 5, 2018 into 2019, click “Yes” to update this information in both Year 2019 and Year 2018 applications.
  • If you have changes that will happen in 2019, make those to your Year 2019 application.
    For example:
If you are planning to move to a new address on January 1, 2019, you should make this change to your Year 2019 application, only.
